You're going out to the homes and doing assessments with the individuals, so you still get to keep your nursing hat on — it's not all administrative. It's really the best of both worlds in the nursing field.

Hi, my name is Kristin Burns and I'm the Director of Nursing at OneWell Healthcare. My day starts off in the office, where I'm checking our EVV logs — the clock-ins and clock-outs for the nurses I oversee and manage.

I was helping a nurse who was having some issues with her schedule — she still wanted to work with the participant, so I coordinated with the family and the nurse, and we came up with a schedule that worked out perfectly because the family didn't want to lose this nurse.

Being that liaison between the nurse and the family, we were able to make it work — we kept the nurse and kept the family happy.

I love the individual I'm working with, and I love the supportive culture that comes with this company. I feel that I'm able to provide a sense of purpose.
